Immerse yourself in the bounty the Finger Lakes.  On this one-of-a-kind culinary wine tour, you will create a Finger Lakes meal from the ground up. 

Our day unfolds at Silver Queen Farm.  Upon arrival, you are greeted by the farmer, who will take you into his fields to harvest the days bounty for your cooking class.  Upon your return, regional chef Samantha Buyskes will be ready to begin the class.  Part hands on, part demonstration class, you will learn and discover the beauty and richness of making a meal with ingredients grown from the farm. With your assistance, Chef Samantha will prepare and demonstrate the creation of a three-course lunch featuring the farm's ingredients and wines made at local Silver Thread Vineyards. Enjoy the flavors of the Finger Lakes as you learn about preparation and cooking methods, shopping tips, and the magic behind the wonderful regional food of our area. Each guest receives the recipes from the meal, and has the opportunity to purchase the farm-fresh ingredients to bring a bit of of Finger Lakes freshness home with you. 

After the class, we make our way to Silver Thread Vineyards.  Here you will meet Shannon or Paul Brock, the winery's owners and winemakers.  They will share with you a vineyard tour and wine cellar experience that describes what goes into making their fabulous award-winning wines.    You will then enjoy a wine tasting paired with Finger Lakes cheese and other locally sourced products. Afterwards, you will of course have the opportunity to purchase the wine featured during your cooking class to complete your home menu.
