Cayuga Boat Cruise & Taughannock Falls Trek

On this one of a kind tour, you will get to experience "up close and personal"  two of the biggest attractions in the Finger Lakes:  Cayuga Lake and Taughannock Falls.

"Oscar"Join "Oscar" a 40ft Cabin Cruiser and Captain Carla as you cruise up Cayuga Lake.  Captain Carla and your on-board naturalist will share information about the lake and region as you take in the breeze, mist, and smells of the lake air.  As we cruise up to Taughannock Falls State Park, enjoy lunch on board, sunbathe on the bow, or take a refreshing dip in the lake.

Taughannock FallsWe will disembark at the docks of Taughannock Falls State Park and make our way over to the trailhead of the gorge trail to discover for yourself why "Ithaca is Gorges",  On the 1 1/2-mile round trip, easy walk to the base of Taughannock Falls, where you will see our famous 215 ft waterfall - the tallest waterfall drop east of the Mississippi River that is 40 ft higher than Niagara Falls  Along the way, your guide will provide you the natural history of the gorge and how the glaciers and erosion carved out the gorges hundreds of thousands years ago.

After returning from the hike, we will re-board Oscar for the trip back down the lake to Ithaca, enjoying locally made Purity ice cream and maybe another swim or two, along the way.

This 6-hour tour is perfect for families or friends looking for the ultimate day in the Finger Lakes.
