Vine, Wine, and Dine on East Seneca Lake
This tour is specifically designed for those guests who want to take their Finger Lakes wine tasting experience to the next level.
Similar to our Vinifera Wines of the Seneca Lake Belt Tour, this tour focuses on four wineries that produce beautifully crafted Vinifera wines on the eastern shores of Seneca Lake, along with a unique tasting lunch experience . On this tour, guests will have the opportunity to experience some of best wine from the region. At each winery guest will taste multiple vintages and sites of different varietals; exploring first hand the effects of seasonal variation, age and terroir in each glass.
At our first stop, taste why fine red wine needs LOTS of time as you survey 3 vintages of a carefully selected red varietal at Standing Stone Vineyards. Through this "vertical" tasting you will taste and learn why "Southeast Seneca" is a very unique and special microclimate for producing fabulous red wines.
At Red Newt, your personal food and wine ambassador will guide you through a unique Wine Salon experience, which includes a selection of locally sourced handmade tapas from the Bistro paired with their well-known vineyard-specific wines such as Riesling, Gewurtztraminer, and Cabernet Franc. The Wine Salon bridges the gap between food and wine tasting by offering an intimate environment to enjoy pairings tailored to your taste.
At your next stop, Silver Thread Vineyard will welcome you glasses in-hand. Owners Paul or Shannon Brock will take you into the vineyard and down in the winery and share with you the process for making great wines. Back at the tasting room, explore a flight of their award winning wines including Riesling, Pinot Noir, and their very popular Blackbird paired with local cheese.
The tour culiminates with a wine and local chocolate tasting at King's Garden Vineyards, featuring their beautiful chardonnays, Cabs, Merlot and Syrah.
All library wines and pre-released bottled wines featured on the tour will be available for purchase. Regional bites of cheese, tapas, and other finger lakes delectables will be paired throughout the tour.

A note to our guests: Saturdays on the Seneca Wine Trail are the busiest days of the week. If you are looking for a more intimate experience of the wineries we suggest considering a Sunday or a weekday for your wine trail experience if your schedule allows.
