"SWaB" (Spirits Wine & Beer) along Seneca

As far as fermentable favorites go, The Finger Lakes is no longer just about wine.   The region is also producing some of the best quality brews and spirits in New York State, and this tour is all about showing all of them off to you!  On this 5 hour tour, we will visit a distillery, two wineries, and a brewery, all of which focus on high quality craftmanship to make the best of each of their genres.

The first stop will be at Finger Lakes Distilling. One of the distillers will take you down into the distillery and go through the process of creating their unique and hand-crafted spirits. From boiling and fermenting, to distilling and  aging,  you will learn what it takes to make bourbons, whiskeys, clear spirits and liquers.  After the tour, the group will get a private tasting down in the distillery away from the crowds.  Each person will be able to choose their favorite spirit within four featured flights:  1) Vodkas and Gin  2) Brandys and Grappas  3)Whiskeys and Bourbons, and 4)Liqueurs.  Your guides will present you with a special local food pairing to feature with one of the items within the flights.

After the distillery, we will enjoy wine tasting with custom food pairings at two craft wineries along southeast Seneca.  First winery will be Damiani Wine Cellars, an easy stroll from the distillery.  At Damiani, we will feature their wines paired with locally-made chocolates that were designed by the chocolatier to specifically go with their fine wines.  The second winery will by Bloomer Creek Vineyards, where you will taste their small-lot, hand-crafted wines paired with locally made cheese, all within the setting of their stunning, hand-built tasting room.

Our last stop will be the Crooked Rooster Brew Pub, home of Roosterfish Brewing.  Here you will have the opportunity to taste their individually crafted beers and ales.  From Hefeweizen and Cocoa Porter, to Pale Ale and IPA, there will be a brew to fit everyone's palate.

A note to our guests:  Saturdays on the wine trailsl are the busiest days of the week.  If you are looking for a more intimate experience of the wineries we suggest considering a Sunday or a weekday for your wine trail experience if your schedule allows.
