Wine, Cheese and a Side of Moo *Currently Unavailable*

Experience firsthand the wonderful hand-crafted food and wine createdErica with Jersey calf "Joy" on the east side of Cayuga Lake.  We will visit a cheese farm (or "cheesery" as they like to be called) and three wineries. Our first stop is Keely's Cheese Co.  where Keely will share with you the process behind making her fabulous cheese, and then treat you to a cheese tasting. You may also run into a cow or two.

Samples of your favorite cheese will accompany you to to the second stop, King Ferry Winery.  Here, you will get a back of the house tour ofFriends together at King Ferry Winery the winery, and learn about the wine making process that goes into making the fabulous Treleavan Wines.   A wine tasting will follow where you will have the opportunity to determine which wines are the perfect accompaniment with your favorite cheese!

Our next stop will be Long Point Winery, where you will be treated to a truly intimate wine tasting experience.  The winery produces the only Zinfandel in the Finger Lakes, and you will have the opportunity to taste "in process" Zin or Cabernet Sauvingnon right out of the barrels, that will be the basis of future bottled varieties.  Afterwards, in the tasting room, you will experience a variety of Long Point finished winespaired with your favorite cheese.

For final stop of the tour, we will head right into the heart of the small village of Aurora, where we will visit Bet The Farm Winery and Gourmet Market.  In addition to their own wines, Bet the Farm offers a limited selection of wines from other notable Finger Lakes wineries, as well as a wonderful offering of gourmet products from small scale food producers spread across upstate New York.  They always have something yummy to sample with their wines, leaving you with a lasting impression of how good it gets in the Finger Lakes!

Along the tour, you will learn various aspects of wine evaluation, so that you can apply these skills to your wine and cheese tasting experience.

A note to our guests:  Saturdays on the Cayuga Wine Trail are the busiest days of the week.  If you are looking for a more intimate experience of the wineries we suggest considering a Sunday or a weekday for your wine trail experience if your schedule allows.
